Field Inspector Solution

Trimble Field Inspector is a solution that allows field workers to use simple, powerful forms to capture data in the field and transfer it automatically to the back office.
















The Trimble Field Inspector Solution consists of two major components:

1. Trimble Field Inspector Desktop software

2. Trimble Field Inspector software for handhelds or smartphones

Desktop functionality: 
Jobs (tasks to be performed in the field) can be created, prioritized, grouped and send to the handheld/smartphone in the field. Desktop software users can design forms, incorporate workflow rules, connect data to external databases including GIS systems, post-process GNSS data from the field, and control multiple devices simply and seamlessly.

Handheld/Smartphone functionality:

  • Receive tasks and send task updates
  • Perform maintenance and inspection tasks
  • Capture of asset related information
  • Capture photos, barcodes and electronic signatures

Seamless flow of data and integration:
Trimble Field inspector operates on a range of Trimble handheld computers and Android smartphones. The solution integrates with existing utility back office systems, enabling seamless flow of data between field and office without the need of time consuming data exports. With the post-processing capabilities of Trimble Field Inspector Desktop software, GNSS location data captured in the field can be further enhanced to high level accuracy with specific Trimble handheld computers.
